5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Attend A Private University

If you look beyond the ASUU strikes in public universities, you'll see several benefits these schools have over their private counterparts.

In Nigeria, there is a general belief that private universities are far better than public varsities.
This belief is strengthened by the epileptic ASUU strikes and internal crises in public higher institutions across the country.

Usually, when a crisis does not get to the point of pausing the academic progression of the students and shutting the school gates, the crisis doesn't get resolved. These are parts of the reasons why some parents choose to send their wards to private universities. However, if you look beyond the ASUU strike in public universities, you will see several benefits these schools have over their private counterparts.

These benefits range from cheaper school fees to freedom to become an adult and exposure to the real world before becoming a graduate. The bulk of private university graduates don't have such exposure and experience.

So here are five reasons you should consider public university if you are seeking admission.

1. Cost of Education
The first thing people get to know about private universities is not the facilities they have but their school fees. Some private schools tuition fee is enough to build a house elsewhere. On the other hand, cost of education is very cheap.
Apart from this, cost of living in public university is also cheap as students are allowed to either patronise campus shops or those on the streets where prices are competitive. This is not allowed as some private universities will even punish students for having foodstuff in their hostel.

2. Freedom and Independence
Undergraduates in public universities enjoy some degrees of freedom as they are not kept under stringent rules on how to live on campus.
Private Universities have so many amusing rules that keep their students under the prying eyes of the management. No freedom, no independence, just students shuttling between lecture rooms and hostels. Private universities force their laws down the throat of their students as they have rules guiding everything. Private school is that entity that treats adults like kids by giving them rules on what to eat, how to dress and when to worship.

3. Campus Fun
Some Private universities are dry and are utterly devoid of campus fun. In public universities, you have parties to attend, meet real people, rich and poor; and even join socio-cultural associations like the Kegites groups.
Dating is also fun as students couple enjoy their relationship without being punished for expressing love. You can not do this in some private universities. In fact, some private universities frown at students of opposite sex hugging each other.

4. Public University encourages hard work
Some lecturers' nonchalant attitudes to work in public universities propel students to work hard to succeed.

For instance, a lecturer that comes to class only to give out handouts expects the students to impress him in their exams. Those lecturers who do not come to class regularly because of other commitments also expect good performance from the students. These students are denied a lot of things yet, they come out with good grades. On the other hands, private university students have almost everything to facilitate their education, yet, some of them are no match for public school graduates who are screwed to success.

5. Public university produces mature graduates
Everything public university undergraduates go through in the hands of their lecturers and the university system toughens and prepare them for the life after graduation. They understand life more on campus through the many challenges they go through. The same can not be said about private university undergraduates, most of whom only see life through one prism of their parents' wealth and lecturers' soft approaches to everything. They hardly make decisions for themselves. It is either their parents make it for them or the school management does.

Ways To Make Money Genuinely As A Nigerian Student

Ways To Make Money Genuinely As A Nigerian Student

As a student we all have something we should be able to offer that will generate monetary returns before we graduate,A meaningful skill that the society needs. In this series of making money as a student on https://www.SolutionClass.Com.Ng,I will be listing few ways and things we can do as students to make money.

1.Blogging

Blogging is great business that pulls in much income. Anyone can profit through blogging and undergraduates are not optional. At the comfort of your home, you can blog and get paid in your Nigerian account.

Most Nigerian student bloggers are not too patient they expect to make money instantly from blogging, but let me tell you my good friend everything good in life comes easy.Blogging requires perseverance, consistency and hardwork. You cant make it once in the twinkle of an eye,God doesn't bless like that.

Just find something you are good at and write about it ,if its entertainment, news, education write about it. Dont be a copy and paste blogger sha,Be original, write meaningful things about your passion.

The question now is how can you make money from blogging?

There are so many of them but it all depends on Your niche. Something that catches your interest and something you have vast knowledge about. So you may wonder how one actually makes money from this. Here are listed ways:

Google AdSense/chitika adsense/propellar ads
Consultation on SEO, traffic related issues
Affiliate marketing.
Freelancing (writing posts and articles for other blogs and individuals),Music promotion if you have lots of traffic
Web site creation and design
Selling of my information products on this site and on AMAZON.

Note-to be able to get google adsense you need a minimum 30 posts with above 400 words that have somthing meaninful about them.

2.Photography and organizing social events
This job is suitable for people that are very social and not the shy ones. Photography and social events go side by side. You can plan events like

Social weeks
Fellowship days
Birthdays
Room, department and faculty weeks etc

So far you are in a tertiary institution settings like a university or polytechnic your opportunities are endless. For example female students love photo-shoots with passion, male students on the other hand love throwing parties. You can meet with them and Let them know you can do the job.

3. Computer Jobs:Repair etc
This is another good way of making money with your computer skills. Instead of using your computer to play games and watching movie while not use it for something productive such as

Installation of computer software and games.
Typing, scanning and photocopying jobs.
Online application for new and old students
Repairing of electronic gadgets.
General internet solutions.
We are in the IT age, so getting customers wont be a problem for you.

4.Buy and Sell
While in school, you can involve yourself in buying and selling business.Study your school environmentAnd check out whats trending . There are many products you can invest in, ranging from fashion; cloths, shoes, weavon, stationery and more. You can make serious amount of money from buying and selling businiess especially if you do it well. You will make money especially from freshers(100 level) who know little about business. You can start by buying clothes and other fashion wares at a cheap rate and reselling it at a price that will make you gain alot.

5.Mini-importation business
The mini importation business is one easy way to get you out of your financial troubles. It’s a very profitable way to make money online and offline in Nigeria as an undergraduate irrespective of the institution you find yourself in.

The main idea is to import goods that catch students eyes or attention, it doesn’t make your sex, both male and female can go into this business as far you have something that people likes and want to buy
You can import the following items and they will thrive well in any Nigerian campus:
Phone pouch and cases with USB cords.
Human hair.
Tablet phones.
Wristwatches, bangles, chains, anklet and customized wristbands.
Modems and card readers.
Flash and memory card.
Solar chargers.
Sandals and shoes.
Clothes and underwear and lots more

Important Note-
There is no joy like making money legally,as you have no cockroach under your bed,you can move freely anyhow you want without fear.Never forget your major purpose in school, which is to get a degree. In whatever you do ,do it well and legal.Making Money legally is time consuming that's just the not so happy story, but still be calm, friends as what you discover in university can take you places even after your university education.
For example the founder of host sleek technologies one of Nigeria's top web hosting companies founded host sleek as an undergraduate now the business is booming. In his first year he didn't make money but consistency and hard-work paid off later.Same thing about the founder of 9jaflaver.com Mr Ejump we read his story on this forum yesterday too.
What you do in universities, polytechnics or other tertiary institutions has a long way of taking places in Life.

Use your time well.

10 Skills And Qualifications You Need To Get A Hot Job In 2018

Dreaming of a hot job while in school is very easy; everyone does that. The difficult task is getting a good job in reality. There are limited
vacancies to absorb the unlimited number of job seekers. This is the main reason why getting your dream job is very difficult nowadays. You therefore need to overcome the unemployment trend in Nigeria, Africa and the World in general.

Now, it is what you have in your head that will take you ahead. There are key things your employer need. Therefore, you need to develop yourself so as to meet the
requirements of your prospective employer.

In this article, I shall list and explain the paper qualifications, as well as hot skills you need to acquire for an edge over thousands of other job seekers . Trust me, you would gain a whole lot from this amazing 2018 guide.

Skills & Requirements You Need To Get A Hot Job In 2018

1. Communication Skills
2. A good certificate
3. Tech Skills
4. Profesional Certifications
5. Dressing Skills
6. Driving And Swimming Skills
7. Ability To Speak Several Languages
8. Sound Knowledge about the company you want to work with
9. Persistence (Learn never to give up until you get what you want)
10. Hot Curriculum Vitae.

Take a glass of chilled water and relax while I go into details….

Communication Skills:
According to wikipedia , Communication is the act of conveying intended meanings from one entity or group to another through the use of mutually understood signs and semiotic rules.
Communication is the most important skill you should develop as a living thing. Learn to relate with people effortlessly, ask and answer questions. Know when to be serious and the best time to crack jokes.

You don’t need a big head to move ahead… It is only what you have in your head that can take you ahead.

Put up a charming smile that people can’t resist. This would really add value to your personality. In addition, learn to communicate effectively both verbally and in well written English.

2. Have A Good Certificate:
Although skills can earn you a living, yet, certificate gives you class. Although degree is not a true measure of intelligence, it gives you opportunity to express yourself.
For example, most companies require that you graduate with first class , second class
upper or lower . Graduates from Monotechnics would be required to provide a distinction , an
upper or lower credit. Some jobs even require good O-level (Waec/Neco/Nabteb) results.
With anything less than the qualifications above, you won’t be granted an interview irrespective of your skills.

It is not all about what you score in class but what you score in life. However, what you score in class matters a lot to determine your class in life.

Therefore, inasmuch as you strive to acquire skills, also try to graduate with a good certificate . If you are still in school, buckle up and improve your CGPA.

3. Learn Basic Tech Skills:
Like I have always told you from the beginning , the world is changing at the speed of light . If you can’t change with the speed of light, try to move at the speed of sound ; else, you would miss a whole lot of the “goodies” life has to offer.
One of the most required skills in this century is tech skills . You may not know how to create database table or code Operating
systems . You may not even be a blogger or an SEO Expert like me. However, you should be able to boot and shut down a computer system. You should also be able to type, copy, format and print documents.
Learn to do jobs online. Use Google to find solutions online. Explore your phone and Laptop. Master how these gadgets work and specifications that make them differ. These
and many more are the things you should be very concerned about.

The problem with many young persons is that they don’t have vision. They only watch televisions.

4. Professional Related Certification And Affiliations:
One question employers ask is, “what else can you d o?”.
Now, let me ask you the question, what can you do outside your certificate ? The place of professional certificates and affiliations in job interviews cannot be over emphasised. They give you sharp edge over fellow job seekers.
You can get certain professional certificates from Seminars, Symposium and as a result of your positions in certain organisations. This is wise step to get a hot job in 2018.

Killing time is not murder but suicide. What is the best use of your time right now?

5. Dressing Skills:
Life is all about packaging. As a human being , you need to upgrade. To promote your brand, you need to prove to the world that you are not hungry. There are many hot jobs that consider your sense of dressing as a major
employment factor.
Someone could even see you on the way and offer to employ you based on the way you dress. I am serious about this. Therefore, if you are the type that puts on slippers after wearing native or suit, you need to change o. There is God.

Number 6 to 9 are already self explanatory. Let’s jump to number 10.

10. Curriculum Vitae:
This is a vital requirement from job seekers required for job opening. It is a professional document that outlines your life activities. CV is slightly different from resume.

In general, CVs are used throughout most parts of the world, while resume is the common format in America.
Although in essence they both serve the same purpose, the main difference between a CV and resume is that a CV acts as a complete record of your professional history , while a resume is a short targeted list of transferable skills and accomplishments, intended to show how you can be of specific benefit to the particular organisation to which you are apply.

With the resources above, you should be able to get a hot job in 2018. Feel free to let me know how you fee using the comment box and do not fail to share this article with friends across various social media.

13 Reasons You Shouldn’t Register Waec & Neco In Miracle Centers

In most of my articles, I do preach about how to pass waec and neco 2018 without expo or runs. This suggests to you that it is also very possible to pass waec with expo or runs in various Miracle Centers .

There are many waec and neco centres where expo is being advertised. Teachers and
Runs boys/ men copy waec answers on the board. Also, waec/neco answers could be sent to you via sms even before you enter the exam hall. These centers are referred to as
waec/neco expo and miracle centres.

Waec and Neco miracles centres can make you pass easily without reading. This is because all answers would be sent to you. The funny thing is that there are waec and neco miracle centres at every State in Nigeria.

However, patronising waec runs and miracle centres is one of the biggest risk you can take. Below are reasons you should not depend on waec runs and expo.

Reasons Not To Look For Waec And Neco Miracle Centres In 2018

1. 99.9% of the guys advertising expo and runs online are Fraudsters. They don’t know anything about waec and neco runs. They want to collect your money because you are too desperate.

2. Most of the answers you would get via sms may not be correct.

3. Expo makes you lose confident in your self. You will always believe that you cannot pass waec/neco on your own.

4. Since many persons would copy similar answers, waec and neco officials would suspect cheating and your result would be held.

5. There would be mass failure in your waec centre.

6. Waec withholds thousands of results yearly to do malpractice.

7. Your centre would be blacklisted.

8. You may have to sit for another waec and neco; even Jamb

9. Even if the miracle centre works for you and you make all “ As ” in your nine subjects, your Jamb performance would be poor and you may end up wasting years at home before gaining admission.

10. You would learn to always depend on runs and expo for every examination.

11. You would waste time you would have spent on reading Online to browse expo on Google and search for expo centres on the internet.

12. It is very expensive to register in Miracle centers. You would end up spending a whole lot of cash and time.

13. You won’t be proud of your result anywhere.

With my few points above, hope I am able to convince and not to confuse you that waec and neco expo could do more harm than good? Of course….. Say no to miracle centres and I will soon drop tutorials on how to pass waec and neco 2018 genuinely.
